Apaan Mudra: Joining the tip of thumb with tips of middle and ring fingers keeping the other fingers straight forms Apana Mudra. Keep your hands on the knees. Do this for 20 to 30 minutes.The Apaan mudra is an extremely important and useful mudra that first detoxifies (and, therefore, purifies) the body and the energizes it.

Benefits : Digestion and excretion system will get activated so that you will throw away the difficulties related to stomach. Stomach pain will subside when you practise this mudra for 15 to 20 minutes. Even toothache can be cured by practicing this. Those who suffer from diabetes must practise this for 30 minutes followed by Prana Mudra for 10 minutes. If diabetics learn and practise Kapalabhathi Pranayama coupled with Mandukasana, the word ‘diabeties will NOT be found in the dictionary of yogasadhak. Piles / Fistula problem can be cured by practising this. Pregnant mothers can practise this mudra for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening…

Do Apan Mudra for 20 minutes after meals followed by Pran Mudra. May also do – Vayu& Prithvi mudra combo Just after meals for 10-20 minutes and then Apan plus Pran mudras for better digestion+energy.
