Second Thought on Pushan Mudra 2:- Benefits of Pushan Mudra 2 or Vital Essence Mudra
Touch the tip of the left thumb with middle and ring fingers of left hand, and right thumb with ring and little fingers of right hand.
This Mudra increases the physical vitality. In addition, it activates, normalizes, balances and harmonizes the second Swadhisthan or Hara chakra or the Sex Centre, which is below the navel area. So it is also called as the Hara Mudra.
Garbage accumulated in this life is stored in the Hara Chakra
All garbage what all we have learnt from our life – desires in particular, lessons learnt from our parents, and our opinions about relationships are formed in the Hara chakra.
Do we have meaning in the actions that we undertake? We just talk with people aimlessly. How to create a worthy life? This chakra is full of desires. Contentment is the message of the chakra. Only when we release garbage and bring in contentment, then the other chakras are activated. Release all unwanted thoughts, feelings and desires. Then we will grow up.
We meditate and chant various Slokas, though in our back of the mind, we keep thinking about servant who hasn’t appeared yet, that the milkman hasn’t delivered the milk yet and so on and thus lacking in self-discipline.
Other benefits of doing the Vital Essence Mudra
The self-discipline is gained though this Mudra. All desires, garbage and unwanted energy are removed by this Mudra. We live with an attitude of gratitude.
Third Thought on PUSHAN MUDRA
(Dedicated to the sun god, Pushan, also the god of nourishment)
VERSION 1 :
Right hand: The tips of the thumb, index finger, and middle finger are on top of each other; the other fingers are extended.
Left hand: The tips of the thumb, middle finger, and ring finger are on top of each other; the other fingers are extended.
This mudra symbolizes accepting and receiving with the gesture of one hand and letting things flow, giving, and letting go with the gesture of the other. Both should be coordinated with each other in digestion. It influences the energy currents that are responsible for absorbing and utilizing food, as well as helping with elimination. It intensifies breathing and therefore the absorp• tion of oxygen and the release of carbon dioxide in the lungs.
It has a relaxing effect on the solar plexus (the area of the stomach, liver, spleen, and gall bladder), regulates energies in the autonomic nervous system, mobilizes energies of elimination, and detoxifies. It has an excellent effect on general or acute nausea, seasickness, flatulence, and that sensation of fullness one feels after meals.
Right Hand:- Touch the tip of Thum with Little finger and put Ring finger on the top of nail of Little finger.
Left hand: Same as Version 1.
Connecting the energies of the thumb, ring finger, and little finger activates the lower digestive process and the
elimination process. This mudra can be called the general energy pump. It stimulates the functions of the brain, a fact that has also been proved sci• entifically. The finger position of the right hand activates energy in the pelvic floor, like a smoldering fire that has been stoked. With the finger position of the left hand, the kindled energy is directed upward. Every organ, the general mood, and thinking (concentration, memory, logic, enthusiasm, etc.) are positively influenced as a result.
These two mudras can be used as immediate help or practiced four times a day for 5 minutes in the case of chronic complaints.
